Privacy notice
Your words deserve careful treatment.
Effective June 14, 2026
This notice explains how Communion Neighbors handles information on communionneighbors.com and the related Squarespace property at connect.communionneighbors.com.
Information we collect
We may receive information you enter into reflection, testimony, contact, table, event, or order experiences. This can include contact details, a general or exact meeting location, prayer or reflection text, testimony drafts, religious beliefs, and information you choose to share about your wellbeing. Our hosting and commerce providers may also process basic device, browser, security, and transaction data.
How we use information
We use information to provide the experience you request, prepare AI assisted responses, answer questions, review table submissions, facilitate introductions, fulfill purchases, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.
AI-assisted features
When you request a reflection response or testimony revision, the text you submit passes through Communion Neighbors and may be sent to OpenAI. We request that OpenAI not store the generated response as application state, but OpenAI may retain limited data for security and abuse monitoring under its API data controls. Do not include confidential information or another person's identifying details unless you have permission to share them.
Browser storage
The testimony tool saves your working draft in your browser's local storage so it can remain available on that device. Clearing the draft in the tool removes that browser copy. Other people with access to the same browser profile may be able to see it.
Service providers and linked sites
We use providers such as Vercel for hosting, OpenAI for optional AI processing, and Squarespace and its payment partners for forms and commerce. Their systems process information on our behalf or under their own notices. Links to Amazon or other outside sites are governed by those sites' privacy practices.
Retention and protection
We aim to keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose collected, safety, recordkeeping, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Access should be limited to people and providers who need it. No online service can promise absolute security.
Children
The interactive reflection and testimony tools are intended for people age 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. A parent or guardian who believes a child submitted information should contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Your choices
You may choose not to submit optional information. You may also ask about access, correction, or deletion of information associated with you, subject to applicable exceptions and our ability to verify the request. Browser-only testimony drafts can be cleared directly in the testimony tool.
Contact
For a privacy question or request, use our contact form. We may update this notice as the service changes and will revise the effective date above.
